The York County Beekeepers Association meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month at the York County Clemson Extension Building , 120 North Congress St., York, SC.  Pull to the rear of the Extension Building and enter through back door.

Visitors are always welcome.  Civic, garden clubs, 4-H groups, and Parents with children of all ages are welcome. 

Meeting time is 7:00 PM.  We begin our meetings with a welcome and prayer.  We hear a speaker on beekeeping and/or related topics such as plants honey bees forage on, pesticide practices.  We then began our business meeting and then adjourn with snacks.

YCBA Meeting Minutes
November 12, 2009

Meeting began at 6:30PM with great discussion on various topics of beekeeping.

Visitors:  Steve and Angela with child, Kenneth Messer, Don Cook

Prayer Request: Charlie Johnson, Buddy Lambert, Wolford Martin

Ron Lilly announced that local dues are $15 and $5 for State due January 1

Fundraising – The club will be putting together a Recipe book about Honey-no deadline for recipes

Treasurer Report from Dee MCSwain-total amnt $2442.00

Ron Lily spoke about New  Membership for Harvey Messer

Sally Adams announced that there the secretary and treasurer is up for nominations

Carroll Moore for the Entertainment committee – Christmas dinner December 10th 6:30 PM at ARP Presbyterian.  The club will provide meat prepared by C.Moore.  Ron Lily will provide condiments, we will also have a gift exchange with $5 gifts.
